This type of fir is very light-loving, is not demanding to soil conditions and is relatively drought-resistant, withstands long periods of soil drought.
The distribution of Spanish fir at such high altitudes shows that it loves high atmospheric humidity. To maximize its decorative effect, this fir needs a warm climate.
Spanish fir (Abies pinsapo) In winter, Spanish fir can withstand frosts down to -30 degrees. It does not suffer and even tolerates well polluted air.

In our country this species can be found in many places. It is especially common in the parks of our larger cities. It is found in the warmer regions of the country, as a park tree for single or group planting. The form „Glauca“ is also known, which has bluish-green leaves.
